About the Movie:
Desert Hearts (1985) is a tender, slow-burn lesbian romance set in dusty 1950s Nevada. Uptight English professor Vivian travels west for a quick divorce—and finds herself drawn to Cay, a free-spirited, denim-wearing casino worker with a glint in her eye and zero apologies. It’s queer longing, cowboy boots, and country heat—what more could you want?
